Many major websites, apps, and games are having trouble because of a global internet outage.
On Tuesday morning, popular websites and apps like Discord, Amazon Web Services, Shopify, and Coinbase were all down, as were games like League of Legends, Minecraft, and Valorant.
The problem seems to be with Cloudflare, a content delivery network that all of these services use.
When people try to go to these sites, they get a 500 error message from the server.
Here's what we know so far about the outage.
What does a 500 server error mean?
A 500 internal server error happens when a web server is having trouble but can not figure out what the problem is or what caused it.
This can make it hard to fix because the technicians have to look for the problem before they can fix it.
When you get a 500 internal server error, you will usually see a message that says something like "Oops, something went wrong."
You may also get a 500 internal server error in the following common ways:
- 500 internal server error
- HTTP 500 – internal server error
- Temporary mistake (500)
- HTTP 500 internal error 500 error
- HTTP error 500
If you run into this kind of error and it stays even after you refresh the page, there is not much you can do. You can tell the website about the error, but if it is a big one, the team is probably already aware of the problem and working on a fix.
